@stone007100 Hi
Try strumming each bar with a down, down, down up, down up pattern and see how? you go on. If you aim to stay relaxed whilst your strumming that will help you find you own way of playing it.
Keep on rockin’
Paul

Hey David thanks so much man. I’ve been playing blues, country and rock for about 7 years now and just tried bluegrass out and I think I can do it now thanks to your video. You did a really good job breaking down a easy bluegrass lick for an ol blues? stringer like me. Thanks again

Great? Playing!!!
davidseay3 :
I hope you aren’t thinking I am advocating a new style? of picking here. I am not. Bluegrass is difficult to play and far too many people give up the challenge…by showing an easy way to play a cool lick or two, it may help more people keep an interest and continue playing. That’s my one and only goal. As they get into it, they’ll figure out that there is W A Y more to it than this.
bluegrasssingingman :
@davidseay3 Tab has miss prints,and most the time. When you learn? from tab you can’t play with others. Unless they learned from the same tab. It takes a long time to learn from tab. Then you find out it doesn’t fit the timing. There is either to many, or to less of notes. Then you spend more time relearning the song over.
bluegrasssingingman :
Yes you can use one finger? with a hammer,pull off, but combined with the runs,slides you’re using. You will get loss,and break timing. With those runs and slides you have to use index,middle, and ring finger. Bluegrass isn’t country. You can’t keep up the timing, and stay smooth. Who ever showed you to use one finger for what you did in this video. They showed you wrong,and you will find out you will break time, and drag the timing.
davidseay3 :
First of all thanks from all of us for your tremendous sacrifice on our behalf. Music is one of the most incredible healing therapies in? the world. It make me feel great that this helped to get you back out there and pick up your guitar. There is nothing like playing music to make you feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally. Kudos to you!
Movingstillness :
Good teaching, Dave. Thanks. Your ease made me want to stick with it till I got’em- which is unusual? for me.
fitzpal01 :
Cool? guy nice licks
capitalismforme :
@SmartSceneTV you chill? out. I was lending constructive criticism, not being a jerk. If you can’t distinguish the difference, then you have no business addressing me.
SmartSceneTV :
@capitalismforme
Chillout, I think hes playing with one finger to constitute the lesson being easy for us beginners. I also dont think hes compromising the integrity of the music by doing so, you are the only person that seems to think it doesn’t sound good, which is perfectly acceptable, music is after all, entire character specific,? but keep it to yourself. It sounds good, hes teaching it and people love it. So don’t be so harsh on his video.
capitalismforme :
I’m your one dislike and here’s why:. You’re playing a one finger lick that should be played with at least 2 fingers so that separation of notes correctly takes place. No prominent bluegrass player that I know of plays that particular lick the way you are showing. Teaching it with the one finger technique is doing my harm,? IMO, than good. If you do things right from the beginning, you won’t have to correct improper technique later.
wodrummerworld :
Hey, someone, I have this Dean evo XM budget electric guitar, that seems like it won’t stay in tune for more than a minute or so. Is it maybe the strings? the guitar?, the player (lol)? If someone who knows could answer this,? it’d be much appreciated. ( I mean I spend an hour tuning the thing then am about ready to quit the practice session. Then start something, and it goes right back out ??) Thanks!
MrTIM2U :
Straight up? sharing between pickers. Thank you. Your a good spirit.
melaniepeachy :
Cant really learn it because? i cant see….
