You put a smile on my face with this one.

@gjambro I agree man!!! People always wanna throw guitar players… after Hendrix at me… but you can’t overlook the great blues players, and people before Hendrix… Inspiration is vast and spreads for thousands of years… Since the dawn of humanity.

mjolnir629 :

@gjambro it was called the wright flyer

jassandgrass :

@gjambro If you think that jimi was that great of a guitarist, you’ve obviously never heard any of the pioneering guitarists that came before jimi. Barney Kessel, Charlie Christian, Django Reinhardt, T-Bone Walker, Buddy Guy..the list goes on and on. Jimi just happened to be popular and reached an audience that had never heard anything as good so they assumed and still act like he is the god of modern guitar. Sorry but McLaughlin and bloomfield were both contemporaries of his and were WAY better

billcoleman2009 :

would love to hear you do that on a strat

RevolutionaryBiscuit :

Beautiful *subscribes*
You’re making that look a bit too easy! Very nonchalant; as if you’ve got more important things to be getting on with.

jcote85 :

sdfhsakjfhsdd :

@jst1998 Best comment i agree fo sho!

FinstaDaMinsta :

Obviously very talented, but this sounds like a mix between country and elevator version? Boring compared to Hendrix. Great skills though, just puts me to sleep.

pjl1015 :

Excellent!

americanrides :

@gofft1355 It is a A maj. 7th. My fingers get in the way making it look like a A min. 7th. Not sure what Gofft 1355 is talking about on the E sus.????? If he comes back on, I hope he tells me.
Thanks for writing! Dave

70sforever1 :

@gofft1355 – It’s just an A7 – must have been a slip of the toungue by Dave because he says it properly later – however, he did leave out the very important Esus right before the E chord.

gofft1355 :

You mentioned Amaj7, it looks like an Am7.

americanrides :

You are very welcome!

curvedglass1 :

Loved that,thanks.

americanrides :

@fingersmagoo Very grateful, thanks bro! Dave

fingersmagoo :

Thank so much…props

americanrides :

@dt1142559 I will do my best, but I have been bogged down, computer crashed, just got it back, put an extra hard drive in and bought a recording studio that is impossible to figure out, its taking up all my time right now. I will do what I can, ok?
Thanks, Dave

dt1142559 :

Ldoleary3 :

Well done Dave!

acdcrocksman94 :

americanrides :

@mindbodydr Thanks, but I think its just me. I have gotten a few good tips and was able to at least make some sound come out of it. My cousin is coming back into town tonight from Boston and he is an expert, thank God! If I do get it figured out, I am definitely putting up an easy tutorial on Youtube so other folks don’t have to go through this hell!
Thanks man, Dave

mindbodydr :

americanrides :

@jayvarano Good one…lol

jayvarano :

I think your voice is the combination of Fergie & Jesus, what are you talking about outtta range hahaha

americanrides :

Absolutely, I play it on my 6 string and it doesn’t do the song any justice! Peace man, Happy New Year!
Dave

Onewitnessus :

Love that Washburn 12 string. You are RIGHT that song would not be the same without it!

americanrides :
