@fippysteed I replaced all my Les Paul’s with a graphite nut. Those are excellent. The strings don’t hang up when you are trying to tune it.

@fippysteed Yes, replacing the nut on an inexpensive guitar is a good idea because they are usually cheap plastic and poorly cut. Get a bone or synthetic bone nut and have a luthier intall and cut it.

I got a epiphone les paul for $250 and it doesnt get out of tune quickly and my frets never popped out and i LOVEIT

@RJiminez51 yeah well , an american made strat goes for anywhere from 1000 to 2000 dollars new….so their not exactly cheap and they are no where near as well built as the gibsons are.

the gibson logo alone on a guitar is worth 800$ the rest of the guitar is 200$

I always find my epiphone les paul standards with grovers already on them, but let me ask you this, everytime I get a new epiphone les paul standard I put in either my favorite pick up which is the dimarzio super distortion used by Ace Frehley or the Gibson burstbuckers that come standard on gibson les pauls, what do u think about doin’ that?

i just got a epiphone les epiphone standard limited edition that cost 450 £ and it is realy good. and my friend that has an real gibson les paul think that is just as good as hes sorry if my english arent so good becuse im from sweden

@The06pascals Kluson tuners are made in Germany but Gibson stopped using them years ago. Gibson Deluxe tuners and Grover tuners are made in Korea and China.

Go with an agile AL 2000 if you are looking for a good gibson clone, they have grover tuners (high end tuners that don’t even come on the higher end epiphones) and they start at $225, awesome guitars, every internet review says they are the best gibson clones for the price. From someone who has played an epiphone gibson copy and a agile gibson copy, I’m saying go with an Agile, especially if you are new to guitar. Just my personal opinion..

@TheYzwoods Not sure what you mean by “G and L bought out Fender”. Leo Fender sold Fender (the company) and then started G&L. Yes, they’re great guitars. By the way, Jackson and Charvel are now owned by Fender.

Also to note, G and L bought out Fender and make some really nice guitars.
And brought it back home. The cost is kinda high but really good guitars.
I sold most of mine but have pics. I had 13 at one point lol. Just a grown up kid .
Still have my 100 watt Fender head and 4×12 cab. Peds that I am not shure they even sell anymore! I also had some Jacksons and charvel and… ( Kramers (JUNK)!!!

I have had both and the EPI is great. Tone and sustain is good. I payed 450 for mine 9 years ago. Also have a Squier Fat strat that I bought before that and still rocks and sounds great. I sold my top end stuff as I did not Play them Much.
I had a Fender USA And Mex strat, And a Squire Fat. The Squier I bought for teaching.
Still have it! The only thing about the EPI is the switch went bad fast and one of the pots went out. ANY guitar needs to be stripped and cleaned and set up for you !
