@Sprocketon you don’t have to have it but it sounds much better if you do unless you have long fingernails or really hard calluses
also its cheap so just buy one
Sprocketon :
do i really need to have guitar pick that you wear on your thumb??? Pls. Reply….
Fushpud :
8 pages of comments talking about his version and her version and nobody mentions Lenny Breau? Unacceptable! He covers this on “Guitar Sounds from…” brilliantly.
AcousticMax :
Thumbpick.
edcerc :
this is kind of a lame version you should hear elizabeth cotten play and sing it. Plus she wrote it so its the official version.

Where can we look at the content on your instructional CD or DVD?
I really like your style and the manner in which you present the lesson. Do you have a web site?
frazerftw :
do you know of a tab that corresponds the fingering you’re using? i’ve not yet found one that fits the shapes you use- and it is impossible to look at both sides of the split screen at once!
MrZeta007 :
Very nice instruction – taught me a few more notes to work on and yes folks, this is ‘beginning finger pickin’; although some parts of it I would consider a tad more advanced. My version when I first learned is a little easier; gosh these ole tunes make me homesick for playin again; cant wait to share some of my pickin an grinnin !
