Ever since I was a little kid I wanted to learn how to play the guitar. Look at that guy playing the guitar – that looks pretty easy! If they can do it, so can I! Welle enough that he could play for people as they walked by on the boardwalk. They would throw money in his case! NO WAY! What a deal! I KNEW I wanted to learn NOW! I should be able to teach myself, if he could Right? Wrong!

So why couldn’t he just teach me? Since he could obviously play. Well, some people just can’t teach even if they know what they are doing. Sadly, he was never able to pass on what he knew. He tried to show me some chords, but he was underqualified. It’s just IMPOSSIBLE to learn how to play the guitar unless you have a lesson plan that is well thought out. We’ve found the WORST WAY – Let’s see the BEST way! Well, from my experience, the best way is through one-on-one, step-by-step lessons that are easy to follow and understand. No, my friend was not able to give me that kind attention. The truth is, not many instructors can.

So, then what should I do? What is the best way to learn guitar then, since the only way to get that kind of attention is private personal instruction. Well, if you can find some high quality video lessons, that would be the best option I can think of. That will give you the attention you need, at a great price. You can pause it, stop it, start it over, rreplay from the beginning, whatever you need to do. Need to take a break, come back tomorrow – pick up wherre you left off – That’s the power of video lessons. Even a private instructor won’t have the patience for that. You never have to worry that your instructor will get upset or frustrated that you are taking longer to progress than he might like. Take as much time as you need to make sure you are getting it. No one will care if you have to see it again for the 500th time before you are ready to move on.
