The very first acoustic guitar I had the strings were set so high off the fretboard that you couldn’t even fret anything below the 3rd fret. 2 guitar teachers and one guitar repairman later and you would think ONE of them would have said hey, why don’t you have those strings set a little lower? No..

If you’re going to store your guitar for an extended period then you need to loosen the strings entirely, or better yet remove them, to keep the neck from bowing. I had a guitar I could have gotten a good exchange on if the neck wasn’t bowed.
Just a little advice I think needs to be spread around. ^^
