Greg Howe: Hammer Ons From Nowhere
Greg Howe discusses some of his most popular guitar tricks, his new signature Laguna Guitar and his DiMarzio pickups.
An easy to intermediate arragement of the christmas song for some of my students. The melody is played mostly in thirds. Can work as an introduction to singing or by itself as an instrumental. Played in the key of D. terrencerosnagle.com

Hi tech pickup design, huge amount of creative input on the design of the guitar, amazing guitarist, just discovered him and I really love the bridge between rock jazz and fusion that he brings, clean distorted lines with edge and tension yet fukll of melody speed and flair and yet he throws a hair band over the neck to prevent feedback through sympathetic resonance.
I love it.

Mr. DiMarzio – what can you tell us about the Mesa Stiletto & Marshall cab setup? I have this same rig, and I’m curious if it’s Greg’s, or just what was provided for the video shoot. I’d be interested to know how he sets it up.

Hope you make a single coil version of the D-Activator soon
I think it will make an awesome neck pickup if its in production , just throwing in some ideas Mr. Dimarzio

Thanks for the video Larry.
SunnyJDsouza :
thanks for posting
LarryDiMarzio :
The video was shot while Greg’s guitar was? still being prototyped. One of the earlier protos had a standard Breed neck pickup, but the neck pickup in the video is an Air Norton S, which is what Greg actually approved. Sorry for the confusion.

DiMarzio was is and will be THE pickup for guitar disciples everywhere…I salute you and Greg!! I have a question concerning your line of pickups…I have been designing a fretless 7 string lead guitar and want to have a glass or crystal finger board (that is to say that the neck would still be wood) . I’m looking for a sound somewhere between Kieth Emerson’s moog and Miles Davis muted trumpet….which set would fit in to this equation? Thank you, I remain a huge fan and customer!
