Guitar Lessons – Golden Slumbers by The Beatles – cover chords lesson Beginners Acoustic songs

Go to yourguitarsage.com to find out how to get a chart to this song and 100s of other songs!!! This guitar lesson vid shows you how to play Golden Slumbers by The Beatles . It shows you the chords, strumming technique and style. Check out yourguitarsage.com for info on my online instructional resources about charts, chords, strumming and the techniques that I use here in my videos.. For more guitar lessons, see my other free tutorials. For original and cover music by me, Erich, go to www.myspace.com . Since I’m so busy making new video tutorial lessons all the time and teaching guitar, I probably won’t have time to answer individual questions regarding guitar. Other videos cover beginner, advanced and intermediate levels. I teach rock, blues, country and just about any other style on electric or acoustic. If you can’t find your answer from the resources at the website above, keep digging into my vids, and I’m sure you will find your answer. Keep practicing!!!

cobja101 :

do you use a pick when you play? it seems like it would be difficult

R7777B :

LOL, ‘cas your always playing the harp!’

ccie4me :

love the vocals, but have a question about the Dm9. The voicing your showing appears to be an open 4 string FMaj7. Is that correct and your not playing a D in the chord?

Trapar137 :

Beautiful cover, thanks for posting.

rebelbhoy1888 :

nice lesson for a lovely song

SilverHaren :

stevalianarbone :

You sing this one really nice, ho and play it!!!

longtalker :

Hey guitarsage, another great tutorial, of a legendary song.

Looking at all the songs people request of you to do, I was thinkining whether you’d consider having a poll on your website with several existing choices, then let people vote for what they want most, and then just do the songs that get the highest number of votes. This way it would be much easier to see what songs are the most “desired” by your fans.

Just a thought.. Anyway, thanks again for all your hard work!

flex218 :

beefmelt :

Oh man, I just realized that if I play it the same as I do on my neighbor’s harp, it works perfectly. Anyways, I gotta go scrub my dentures but great lesson man. I’d give you 2 thumbs up except I know that you really don’t count thumbs. thanks man.

marco136669 :

7 ass wipes missed the like button

usetheforce93 :

I am trying to get into some faster stuff than the pentatonic scale, so I am looking at sweep picking and legato stuff. What should I start practicing?

ShredGuitarAcademy :

@Chipwilliams77 You know I might have expected a comment like that from a Wilson or perhaps a Widgens, but a fellow Williams?! I’m a little insulted :(

Blackjack030190 :

Lol I spent so long (literally a few years now) trying too hard to sweep pick, trying to think about where both hands are going at the same time and so on – but when i heard you say it has to be very unconscious, I had never thought of that so I tried doing it on three strings without actually thinking much about where my pick hand is going and it actually improved things dramatically!

Thanks for all your lessons andrew you’re the man 8D

TSWfilms :

this has helped amazingly. You sir, are legitimate, and I subbed, man.

bulldog1202017 :

!:47 and nothing else matters, by the way great lessons man

OneLastFarewell69 :

Thanks very much for this lesson man! I never could get the hang of practicing with a metronome with 3 string sweeping, and everyone says its such a crucial part of the development. After trying your pattern, I got the hang of it very quickly, and after just an hour of playing with the patterns all around the neck at different tempos using quarter. eighth and sixteenth notes, I can confidently say that my sweeping has improved. Thank you very much again!

Chipwilliams77 :

Your one of the only guitar teachers I trust on youtube.

thehair616 :

aaaa the fable major 7 arpeggio herman li would be proud

jamesredfield :

@CBKproductionz get a Jazz III pick , they’re thicker and small enough to do sweeps reeeaaaaly easy

f756t7t6 :

You make it look easy :) So I tried it…turns out it’s really hard :(

Kardflow :

So when he was doing the a minor appregio at 5:18 and going up to G major F and E, the shape on each chord is all the same?

lumaric01 :

This didnt really help em :/ you cant really tell what your doing with your right hand.it would be better if it had close ups of your right hand -sighs but still I dont understand the sweep part

Joenintey90 :

you have really helped me out, you explained it very well! subscribed :)

MirorsAndObfuscation :

@drjakim bestmetronome (dot) com
self explanatory lol

angelthecar :

thanks alot man it really helped me out . im beraly learning sweeps your vid by far the best ive seen.

ryankuisti :

i started learning how to sweep pick by learning songs by the faceless. the song ancient covenant has some excellent sweep licks that really help

MattHXIV :

@doritoman67

Do it slow enough that they can then youl naturally get faster

doritoman67 :

@Musacation i can get down the picking but the fingers wont match my speed that i pick in, any ideas?

RTE101 :

I’d say I have sweep picking down well enough. (not that I care for “any certain popular genre associated with sweeping”) But I thought it might be cool to expand my playing capabilities. And I’ve been playing that same few six-string patterns for a few years. It never just clicked. It comes very slowly, so slowly you won’t notice for a long time, so don’t be in any hurry.

drjakim :

if u dont have a metronome is there another thing you can do or practice to help get better at this

P2GearsOfWar :

Whats that on the bottom of the guitar?
