Learn to Play Volcano by Damien Rice Guitar Lesson How To

I NEED YOUR HELP! Hey everybody, I need you to help me come up with songs to cover soon. I found someone whom I hope will do some singing for me, and I need some help choosing songs. Any acoustic songs will do, but don’t restrict yourself to only those. If you know a good song, let me in on it, as we may try to take some songs and make them into pieces that would fit well with the acoustic. Just post here on the video! Anyway, on to today’s lesson. We’re checking out a song by Damien Rice called “Volcano” (an excellent version of which can be found here: www.youtube.com ) In this lesson we’ll cover a few barre chords, a couple of licks, and the ever-present Hendrix grip, only this time it’ll be a full 6-string grip (a little tougher!) I hope you enjoy the lesson, and dig in! -Shayne

Nate4s :

I’m digging that guitar…because I have it. :)

Nickpatient :

I cant Hendrix grip because my low E on my acoustic is too far away from the edge of the fingerboard on my guitar. I need a new nut. :|

Tuucas13 :

@ifansgrimetube thanks man

ifansgrimetube :

@Tuucas13 when you are doing an E minor you simply raise one finger up a string and the other down a string so you have a finger on the 2nd fret of the low E string and another finger on the 2nd fret of the G string. Good luck.

Tuucas13 :

how do you play d6/9. ive only been playing for about a week

XwazzupX :

ahahaha g string :o 69 :P
