Learn How to Play Guitar and Solve Every Problem

Do not complain of boredom.  Please don’t bother moaning about life having no meaning.  Nobody wants to hear about how you can’t figure out how to pick up some dollars.  You say that nobody ever wants to hear what you have to say?  Maybe it’s because you’re boring, or maybe you just say things in a boring way.

Sorry, but neither I nor other people can waste time listening to the above complaints, especially when such a simple solution applies to all of them:  Learn how to play the guitar.

Of course picking the guitar will not solve every problem in your life, but it will help make any of the above less severe.  If you are bored, nothing fills all those extra hours like running your fingers up and down the scales and chords.  If life lacks meaning, write a funny song about it!  If you need money, sing a song and pass a hat around sometime.  (It’s quite exciting.)  If you feel like everyone ignores you, realize that people will be much more likely to listen to you if you sing to them rather than shout at them.  

You may have convinced yourself that you can’t learn to play guitar, that it’s impossible for you because you lack talent.  Well, nobody is born with that talent.  It’s a matter of a little bit of knowledge and a lot of practice.  If you would rather idly complain about your problems, go right ahead.  Nobody will want listen to you.  Pick up a guitar and they will, though.  It is as simple as that.  You have the power to do something about this.  That’s all I’m saying.

Chances are, you probably haven’t even read this far.  If I were singing it to you, you would have heard every word.

Electric Guitar Lesson – 5 Practicing Tips To Speed Up Your Guitar Playing Development

Hi there again dudes! We’re here to learn another great electric guitar lesson. Now we’re going to give you the 5 practicing tips to speed up your guitar playing development. Learn this electric guitar lesson and it will definitely add on your guitar playing.

1.Practice in a quiet comfortable place

Choose a quite and comfortable place where no one can disturb you. You can’t concentrate on your practice session if there is too much destruction. You can be more productive if you keep on concentrating on the lessons you are working with.

2.  Have Fun with your every practicing session

Making fun in each practice session puts you in the mood and tons of ideas will be flooded in your brains. In fact the reason you are playing the guitar is for you to have fun, isn’t it?

3. Always practice with a metronome.

Always practice with a metronome. It is surprising how often even good guitarists break this rule. Even if you are the fastest guitarist in town if you lack of timing it is nothing. You will end up playing sloppy. Training yourself to play at a consistent tempo will make your music sound very professional.

4. Determine your optimum practice speeds.

For each part of a scale, exercise or song finds the fastest metronome speed that you can play without making mistakes. Practice it for a day at 20 – 30 percent of that maximum tempo. Follow this with a day at 50 percent of your maximum then another day at 75percent. On day four practice at your old maximum speed. You may be pleasantly surprised to find that you have a new, faster maximum speed.

5. If you plan to perform in front of people.

Perfect your songs in private then practice playing in front of sympathetic friends and family members. Create a practice environment that is as close to the conditions of your upcoming performance as possible. If you will perform standing up then use a guitar strap and practice that way. Tell your friendly practice audiences to feel free to talk and laugh it up during your practice. This will help you learn to become comfortable in a distracting concert environment. Consider recording your practice sessions with a simple home video camera on a tripod.

Are my hands too big to play guitar? Beginner Guitar Tips!

Are my fingers and hands too big (or too small) for guitar? 
Edmonton guitar teacher shares his findings….

A concern of many of my students is that their fingers and hands are either too big and clumsy or too small and short-distanced to play guitar properly. There’s really no such thing as having inappropriate digits; if you have a bunch of bananas instead of fingers you may well feel disadvantaged compared to your slender-limbed counterparts, however; what really comes into ‘play’ if you’ll excuse the pun is flexibility, this is true for both small and larger hands. Technique is something that will improve your situation and ensuring you have your fingers arched correctly and a supple wrist will help you to hit the right notes, but it takes time. Make sure you have your thumb correctly positioned in the middle of the neck and keep a nice curve and airspace between your hand and the guitar neck. Once again, it’s that old devil called practice that is the best remedy for floundering fingers.

It is also very important when choosing a guitar to choose one that feels comfortable to you – there are slight variations in the width of the neck that can help you – thinner for smaller hands, wider for larger hands. There are jumbo dreadnaughts available for players who are on the larger side. It is best to visit your nearest guitar dealer and try a few on for size. Additionally, there are parlour (or folk) guitars which are smaller than the full-size dreadnaughts and therefore easier to play if you have smaller hands, however, it is worth testing out the dreadnaughts and looking for one with a narrower neck as this may well suffice.
