zombryn :
Wow, I remember you from yeaaaaaars ago when you had that spaceship animation thing as the intro to your site and wore a mask
I bought your album when I was still in school hehe. I’m sure these videos will be helpful to me since I know nothing about music theory. Thanks again
Odenkay :
@musichopper Thank you.
musichopper :
@Odenkay The solfege system is mostly for singers and not needed when you have specific scale degrees on a physical instrument.
Odenkay :
Why aren’t you using do re mi fa so sol la si do ?
AcousticWilson :
@MrSpeedgtrst16 it’s the first note and last note you play. Like if I said im playing in the key of D you will know my first and last note will be D and the song/scale will be made of notes from the D major/minor scale.
AcousticWilson :
Yes I recommend this vid. ten thumbs up. good lesson thanks.
MrSpeedgtrst16 :
whats a root note?
7211098 :
There is a lot of questions about C flat when you go forward to the C# the next chord is a B.. How can they call that a C Flat when the next whole step is B and in between that is C#)
MrTobytwirl :
Thanks. You explain things well.
anonymous69er :
that was really, good i say, i dont know a thing about it till now
patrick691 :
You might want to learn the Pentatonic scale. Are you talking in the key of C or G? They are both in each other’s key.
husqavarna2811 :
Help me here. If i want to build a solo to the chords c and g can I only use the notes that make up the chords c and g. say a chord has no sharp notes, can i still solo to it using a sharp somewhere else or does the chord itself have to have a sharp note in it.
Tranquil787 :
i know this stuff. but everything he explained in ten minutes took me a few weeks of researching to get down in understanding that he just said. i really like this. you definitely got a sub from me. i really appreciate these
varulv234 :
What is the corresponding rule for Minor scales, when talking about building scales?
loopy951 :
hey so i played a scale. i figured out what all the notes are and wrote them down, but not all the note names were in it and there were more than one note in the scale. it was just a basic minor scale. i dont get it
musichopper :

musichopper :
You are quite welcome!
musichopper :
Learn scales and also delve into chords and understanding how they work within a scale and then break it all down so you have good control over the mental side of playing.
adammnq :
good lesson dude ive been self taught for 3 years now and i can play songs like arpeggios from hell, by yngwie malmsteen, and concerto by cacophony.
i have never had a lesson and dont know my keys what should i do next to become awesome at guitar? learn my keys? and also can you write me back with the rules again.
