Very simple lesson but I really like how you talk about the “Concept” of integrating the little licks with the scales. Great way to learn.
Thanks

I agree with Wolf, Gurdyz, and Rumble, but I am still trying to figure out why Rumble wants us to know what he did when he as 14… umm… want a cookie?
wolf69a :
A real eye opener, thanks a lot for the lesson, 5 stars
gurdyz :
Fantastic teacher. Jammed with my mates last night and realised how much these lessons have helped me.
RumbleGuts2112 :
This guy is a realy good teacher coz he knows technical stuff isnt as good as what you feel is right.
I taught myself to play a load of Rush and Queen by ear when i was 14 and then i went to music school and ended up teaching instead of learning. I have no idea about scales but i can pick out how bands use the same notes but in a different way – if that makes sense
Peace

Marty is a freaking amazing teacher!
ChillpointNews :
I just picked up my guitar and tried this out, but with my own licks of course. I hope everyone who comments doesn’t just comment and leave it, you gotta follow it, it’s really helpful. I learned a lot from this and it’s very easy to play around with the blues scale.
brad84b66b :
it’s a Heritage made in Kalamazoo, Michigan at the former Gibson facility. I forget the model, but Marty has mentioned it in other videos.
samwilliams999 :
I get exactly what you mean, i started playing a little over a year ago (when i was 15) and i can’t help but think “What the hell did i used to do before guitar?” I love it even more now than the day i started
Stupidsareterribads :
Yeah thanks man! Can’t believe I didn’t start into this earlier.
triedge1254212542 :
well dont forget the core of all great musicians practice it ill take a lot longer then a week but one day your gona pick up the guitar and bust out some wicked solos
1lupus :
It is a heritage. Made by ex Gibson employees in the original Gibson Factory. The Ibanez Artcore is a nice semi hollow body however and a lot of guitar for the price. I don’t know how many Artcores you could buy for the money Marty’s Heritage is worth? But quite a few I would suspect.
Stupidsareterribads :
I picked up guitar last week and have actively been looking for information since then- kept hearing people say things like “Once you learn the blues scale you can play anything on the radio” or “Once you master the pentatonics scales you can lead guitar solo” etc.
This helped me begin my understanding into what that means, thanks! Start simple and expand right.

mabye an ibanez artcore…anyway its an ES-339 copy that i know for sure
blablalblalblal :
I HIGHLY recommend his DVD’s. I can’t tell you how good they are. For what the price of individual lesson’s cost, it’s a very cheap investment. They are great! Get the bundle!!
