This is true PASSION! This is what I call TALENT! This is what I call MUSIC!

Nick0Campbell :

@scribe3s i disagree, look at john mayer, and many other players. sure there are a lot of metal players that shred fast as hell, but most rock, blues-rock players use these greats as their main influences. im just upset at the lack of guitar solos in todays music, because rock on radio is so riff heavy.

JohnBT333 :

@scribe3s The true musicians have always been able to play many styles. Playing blindingly fast is pretty much a one-trick pony when it comes to guitar playing – it gets old in a hurry. Every generation has had their guitar beaters, so I don’t know how much of a modern standard it is.
But It really is amazing to see Steve Winwood and have him sound like he did in the ’60s.

zetterbergfan123 :

@ryanmedic789 dont blame you lol that was a killer show

ryanmedic789 :

@Cnd1867 I stand corrected sir, I just saw a video and didn’t notice that Steve had moved from behind the keyboards and took over lead guitar. Blame the beer, pretty women and no glasses that night.

Cnd1867 :

@ryanmedic789 he played guitar on this song at bluesfest and on cant find my way home

adindin :

@adamweishaupt81 There is one in Utrecht, Holland too. It’s on october 14!!!

adindin :

I really love this song. Steve still has a great voice at 62!

that guitar is currently giving me an orgasm

ryanmedic789 :

WOW, I knew of his singing when he was so young and his excellent solo work in the 80′s but I had no idea how incredible he is on the guitar, I bought this DVD and I’m totally impressed. When he did this song at Bluesfest in Ottawa he played keyboard only. I couldn’t agreed more with bustballz and episette’s comments. Don’t miss this guy if he’s touring near you.

bustballz :

how much better does it get than this?

epistte :

How can you not love this video? Stevie is criminally underrated on guitar. Everybody knows his work with the famous Hammond organ, but he can tear up a fretboard with the best players. He still has his voice, which is rare for older musicians.

I love the 1:15 solo.

roadkil2 :

He was 15 when he was with the Spencer Davis group.

@blissily

You gotta hurry up, his concerts are in October :-) Here are the tour dates:

Frankfurt: Oct. 06, 2010
Berlin: Oct. 09, 2010

lunafirma :

didn’t even know he was a legend before this disc..
this sounds so corny even to me, but me life switched during
the listening of this album..through him i believed there was a god..

blissily :

@adamweishaupt81

my sister lives there and it’s so weird..i was just tellin’ her today that it is my ultimate dream to see him live anywhere..
and voila, you mentioned he’s gunna be playing in Germany..
dreams do come true..
can you tell me when he’s playing and where..?
danke maybe i’ll see ya there..heh

Claptonmaniac24 :

Never heard a better solo from him than this one. Especially the 2nd one.

adamweishaupt81 :

You can’t imagine how much I respect this guy. He can virtually play every instrument on this planet, still sounds like he did 40 years ago, wrote most of his songs on his own, had hits in the 60′s, 70′s and 80′s…WOW! Glad he’s coming to Germany in October. See you there Steve, I already got my tickets!

da324 :

@poopkak46 Me too, Tampa! Like you said, he’s still got it.

SantaBarbaraDianne :

Steve’s voice ALWAYS reaches my heart

arturoewallis :

@Ezwider109 … Nothing to do with Lennon. This song was written by Winwood and performed by Traffic more than 40 years ago….
