Hey guys. Go get the JAM amigo iPhone app for learning/practicing solos and improvisation, it’s pretty cool. Just search for “jam amigo” on iTunes/AppStore to get it, and check my youtube channel. Cheers!

Hi David, Of all the “teachers” whose videos I’ve learned from I find that your lessons are the most interesting! You cover and explain just the right amount of material. I play electric blues guitar and have learned quite a few licks from you! I’ve actually used a couple in my videos! Thanks again! Joey Vaughan “World Blues Attack”

at 4:28 it kinda sounds like purple haze by Jimi Hendrix just in a different key

Hi – in this video I am playing totally clean through the clean channel on an all tube fender hot rod deville with just a splash of reverb – guitar right into the amp – thats it – rock on!

David, this is by far the very best “intro to soloing” on the net. Top Shelf all the way. Thanks.

Hi there is a lot you can do to make the licks more rock sounding – real quick add some distortion for a nice dirty tone and one things is to try and use more hammer-ons and pull offs, play that lick a little faster and keep repeating it – its endless what you can do – of course a lot depends on what the chords are that you are playing over – check out more of my rock video lessons and my rock jam tracks plus package for more rock stuff….and …….rock on!

@rockongoodpeople awesome, fender strat is my fave too! (and maybe the gibson sg) thank you so much for taking the time to reply, most people dont bother

Hi – yes, remember that your lead guitar journey is a nevolution and will take time and patience to develop. Most players do play a lot of teh same licks at first as it takes a while to start developing your licks and rhythm while you solo – but you can do it – stay with it and stay positive. Take care

Hi – personally I dont play telecasters as I like the tone of the stratacaster better – but its all about personal preference – rock on!

David is it normal to sound pretty much the same and boring in all the improvisations? Do you get better with time?

I want to try the trial at your page but it takes me to the billing subscription page. How is it a trial if you have to pay? Hehe must be some error.

Hi Jason – thanks for the kind words – most appreciated! I love many guitars – my fav is probably a fender stratocaster – then gibson les paul – then paul reed smith – But I love them all – they all rock!
