Jimi Hendrix Guitar Lesson for Beginner Hey Joe
This is a beginner guitar lesson for the song Hey Joe as made famous by Jimi Hendrix. In this song we’re going to cover several topics including chords, theory, progressions, soloing techniques, E minor pentatonic scales, and the ability to jam with your friends. In learning this song, I believe you’ll learn not only a great chord progression that easily lends itself to extensive jams with friends, but you’ll also get a glimpse into how to put a song together, and a few little tips and tricks for performing it. So I hope you enjoy this lesson and please let me know what worked for you and what didn’t. Clear? Concise? Easy to follow? And feel free to SUBSCRIBE to my channel so you can be the first to see and share new videos and lessons as they become available. Thanks! EDIT: First video to reach 20000 views. Thanks everyone! 4-5-09
Go to yourguitarsage.com to find out how to get a chart to this song and 100s other songs!!! This guitar lesson vid shows you how to play Island In The Sun, by Weezer. It shows you the chords, strumming technique and style. Check out yourguitarsage.com for info on my online instructional resources about charts, chords, strumming and the techniques that I use here in my videos.. For more guitar lessons, see my other free tutorials. For original and cover music by me, Erich, go to www.myspace.com . Since I’m so busy making new video tutuorial lessons all the time and teaching guitar, I probably won’t have time to answer individual questions regarding guitar. Other videos cover beginner, advanced and intermediate levels. I teach rock, blues, country and just about any other style on electric or acoustic. If you can’t find your answer from the resources at the website above, keep digging into my vids, and I’m sure you will find your answer. Keep practicing!!!

Love that you do most of your teaching us songs without the barre chords. That makes such a huge difference for beginner guitar players. It makes it possible for us to have some success playing songs that actually sound like the originals.
Thank you so much.
garbon2535 :
Love the videos, would love to see you list the chords in the video information area. It is easier to follow along if I can see the chord progression. Sometimes I forget what comes next when I’m watching the vid.
cliffordlee1998 :
You make me think of Mike Shinoda!
IvelandNO :
