i choked my dad with the d string. i choked him in drop d. he used to beat me when i messed up in the guitar lessons. im now the best guitar player on my cell block in prison.

@olekristiantronga Its a matter of personal preference. I prefer your way, but it is dictated by what teacher/book/source you learn from, or if you are self-taught.

Basicly, QUARTER<< notes are 4 beats per measure, EIGHTH<< notes are 8 beats per measure, SIXTEENTH <<< is sixteen beats, and HALF is 2 beats, and WHOLE is a single measure. or 4 beats. Depends. You could use a different Time Siggy, like 6/8s, but 4/4 or Classic, is the usual one.
