I’m starting to think I don’t have the right fingers to learn guitar.
A weird thing with my pinky is that on both hands when I bend my pinky frw and back it does this lock jerk thing. People would say a double joint thing happening. My pinky can move really far from my ring finger when straight, but when I bend them the pinky just wont move apart from the ring finger. I have to lay the pinky on the string and fight to get the ring finger to move. I’m sure this isnt normal and I have freak pinky
Drazzic1986 :
Great lessons, thanks
kaisaki1342 :
My pinky had hard time reaching the 6th string , any tips o how to correct that. T_T. Thanks fr the lesson.
kaisaki1342 :
Thanks Justin,I gonna try that so I will have my finger stretch. I have a small hand so I really need to stretch it. I really have a problem with my ring finger always following my middle finger.
JustinSandercoe :
@ joshiscool94- alternate picking happen v soon! I think stage 3 is a touch to early to introduce alternate picking, this is about as basic an exercise as is possible – exactly what I think is important at this early stage…
metallicafan1975 :
great lesson
icub4ucme94 :
wow i wish ppl worshiped me like this jk jk but really a great lesson i used to do similar things all the time and now my friends eyes go wide when they see me play because my fingers spread so far apart

Hey Justin your a really good guitar teacher thanks for all tips! But i just thought I’d say something. I think you should introduce alternate picking in these little exercises. If you don’t learn alternate picking when your a beginner it is really hard to learn later. I just thought I’d say that!
ptran001 :
sorry… i just got really mad seeing somebody say something against u! ur my idol , I wont do it again

rofl. Justin Does rule. The student asks the teacher and recieves an answer. It still surprises me, but I learn something from basically every Sandercoe video I have watched, even if it’s just a better approach at a fundamental. Justin is truly a master on the six string and he does a great job communicating his lessons in a positive, upbeat, and easily understandable, friendly manner. Nothing but love for him man. But that doesn’t mean you don’t ask him questions. ?’s are how we learn.
JustinSandercoe :
hey ptran001 – calm down dude – while I appreciate your enthusiasm – hoping the guy burns in hell for making small constructive criticism is a little strong don’t you think??
ptran001 :
kjpdqpb don’t u ever talk shit about justin’s teaching!!!! i hope u burn in hell JUSTIN RULZ!
kjpdqpb :
True. learning the scales takes a bit of work. I used to do a chromatic warmup like this. I just run through scales now that I’ve learned them though and never do this anymore. That’s what I meant by “throw away”. Not that it’s bad, just that there are better alternatives once you get that far. Great playing and great lessons JS. Thanks for sharing. 8D
