I think i have pretty much mastered playing in one box at the time but how do i go from one box to another one? F.eks when i go from the E minor pentatonic to the G minor I just slide from one tone on the E minor pentatonic to one of the tones on the G and that doesn’t sound good. By the way i just know the minor pentatonics is there a video that can teach me the rest of that stuff?

I already know how to alternate pick but I’m just saying wouldn’t it be easier using that? And also I am used to reg picking quite a bit cause I play like 1-4 hrs a day… I just suck cause 1. I have no teacher besides YouTube and 2. Because I don’t know a lot of licks… K want to learn some blues licks and want to learn how to apply that into my music. And I can’t stress the latter enough. Maybe you can reccomend a video? And yea Marty is awesome (;

@Anrath1 just a suggestion: don’t try alternate picking from the start, try getting used to playing first. The rest all comes with practice… and Marty’s awesome teaching ;D
Anrath1 :
Sorry commented on wrong video.
Anrath1 :
Do you alternate pick on some parts or are you just fast? I’m 15 and started guitar last year and this really helped me out. But even so, after I experimented with the pentatonic scale, I still don’t seem to flow like you do. How do you come up with such good sounding licks? So you have any suggestions for me? I would really appreciate it thanks (:

you know when you get to the meat of the lesson because marty’s brow comes down. and the mean face gets put on. lol. 3:35, 4:16, awesome teaching.
