Great Lesson!! the lick is very Led Zeppelin and the back is very Latin Blues.

tortoiseutube :

I just used ‘Band on A Box’ and typed the chords in and chose a style.

Santana… yeah, I played a lot of their stuff back in the 70′s. So there could be some ‘Carlos’ influence coming through there.

And I am a ‘Star’. I’m world famous in my town. LOL

Whats really interesting is the keyboards chords and the way the rhythm of the keys tie in with the bass guitar. The keyboard chords seem like broken pieces of the guitar chords. Would it be possible to say how you went about picking out these keyboard chords and what they are? Maybe another one of your videos would help me understand this??? You are a true musician. If you were younger you could be a rock star, lol Thank you very much. :) Oh, I think all of this is why it sounds like Santana.

“Black Dog” by Led Zeppelin?

tortoiseutube :

Right. :)

A lot of insight, finally someone who explains a little more about music than just telling us what to do. thanks

Sounds like Santana to me. Interesting, most of people only using pentatonic scales when soloing over minor blues progressions.Your are using the C major scale, but C major notes are the same as in the A minor scale, that’s why it sounds fine over the Aminor blues progression, right?
