It was the same for me dude, i was trying to play the second riff from raining blood by slayer, and one day i just was able to do it.
I still havent completely mastered it but i can do the intro to holier than thou, so im sort of at that level.

I love this guys now that i can gallop songs like metallica are a breeze and for those trying to work on speed, just keep practicing trust me.

Everything in life is practice.

Speed to me just came on day, and i was messing around with the darkness riff on “One” and it just appeared magically.

And now battery is just coming natutrally to me.
