the pickup selector has been rewired as a killswitch. possible the middle position being dead.

I have an Ibanez RGA42FM which has an active midrange cut, so I just took out the battery and there you go. Kill switch. The only problem is it cut my volume in half.

@biggayal1992 why is this still going on? i know its the same thing, but the point u were making was about him destroying the selector not about whether the pickups worked like a gibson or whatever. the fact is hes using a pickup selector.

its the same thing! it has to be fitted because a fender only has one volume knob.

@biggayal1992 i know theyre fenders. but watch any video of him playing the songs and he clearly uses the pickup selector not a killswitch

well actually no he dosent, for songs with killswitching he uses “arm the homeless” or ” soul power” both of which are either fender or based on fender designs so neither of them originally had a pickup selector to killswitch with. they have been modified.

No, it’s not really safe for the selector, but I guess you could fix it for cheap if it breaks. This is an old trick, it’s pretty popular too so I don’t think it’s all that serious.

what a pratt, that will break the pickup selector, its really easy to fit a killswitch yourself.
