gucholnegro :

ak231510 :

So simple, yet this was exactly what I was wanting to know, a more logical way to combine blues boxes or scales going up and down the neck, thank you.

kennooNL :

ElectricAnus :

I agree. Far too much yapping.

jimibryantIII :

Great info but he could have explained it in about 30 seconds

hghhghgg :

minor third refers to to an intervalic relationship to the root. If I tell you to play a minor third on C, it means play E flat over C as a two note chord. minor third is any two notes with 3 half steps between. Conversely, if I say to play a flat third it means ONE specific note of a given scale. eg. “Play the flat third of A.” You would play a C natural. Only a C natural.

tannermiddleton :

wait nvm

tannermiddleton :

that little short lick if you actually play it alot slower its the intro to blues boy tune b.b king

rocknrolllives :

yes the 3b is another way of saying minor third

mikeyFear0n :

is the min3rd the same as a 3b?

rocknrolllives :

thanks for the info now i get it

Theoeeeeo :

box is a pentatonic scale where one fret place can be barred and there all notes in the scale (hard to describe but he just means the easy pent scale postion)

rocknrolllives :

so if i want to write a solo using a scale i can use the notes from that scale any where on the neck and its still in the same key

widdywaddy :

box position is when you don’t move your hand, and play down the scale in, what looks like a box, (because you can play the same notes as he’s playing but by moving up and the guitar neck) but this way’s easier, if your into you should just watch david’s videos on the minor pentatonic scale (first)

xXBlinDXx12 :

im prettey sure the box position is the 5th position cause a LOT of songs are composed in the 5th postion. but if you read tabs then it wont matter to you no need to worry.

Holnorg :

fuckin’borin” reclame

rocknrolllives :

what does he mean box position

q94sucks :

Fuck you too.

dervictor01 :
