@MrWoodoop I know G-major, C-major and D-major (though I haven’t quite mastered switching from one to other, lol) and I know which string is which… That’s about it! I have only just started though

No problem . But hey maybe learn a few chords first instead of doing scales. Learn their names, like G-major etc. then learn the notes on the neck and how the guitar is tuned, (EADGBE). i might put a little vid up soonish nd give you a hand .

Oh my gosh! Who is that stupid? If you were going to teach guitar you might think of telling them the note or buy a book and teach from that! My advice, get a book or a real guitar teacher!

Okay… I was told to play each string open before playing the first fret and to play all strings up to the fourth fret except for the G string, playing that only up to the third fret. This guy didn’t play any of the strings open and played the G string up to the fourth fret and not the third… Have I been playing it wrong all this time?!
